“The Assassin’s Honor”

Action, romance, a murder plot and Florida history converge in award-winning author and Southwest Florida resident Robert Macomber’s new novel, “The Assassin’s Honor.”  It’s the 12th installment in the series following the life and career of fictional U.S. Navy Commander Peter Wake beginning in the days of the Civil War through the start of the 20th century.

This newest installment transports readers to scenes stretching from Tampa to the Florida Keys in 1892 and includes an assassination plot against Cuban writer and revolutionary philosopher José Martí who was a central figure in the movement to overthrow Spanish colonial rule.  We’ll learn more about the book and the historical context in which it’s set.
