Broadway legend Ben Vereen comes to Southwest Florida February 8th and 9th for three performances of his one-man show Steppin’ Out Live with Ben Vereen, at Venice Theatre.
Vereen is best known for his Tony-award winning performance in Broadway’s Pippin, along with roles in Funny Lady, Jesus Christ Superstar and Wicked to name a few. His TV credits include Roots, with more recent appearances in Law and Order, Grey’s Anatomy and How I Met Your Mother.
Vereen is a Miami native, but grew up in Brooklyn. He tells WGCU’s John Davis his career took off right after graduating from the High School of the Performing Arts in New York.
