FGCU Honors College Partners With Peruvian Amazon Project

Oct 24, 2017

Project Amazonas is an NGO focusing on medical, ecological and social needs in the Peruvian Amazon. It considers itself a good way for students to get real world experience in related fields and has offered partnerships with students and colleges for more than 20 years.

Its latest partnership is with the fledgling honors college at FGCU, which will be hosting its presentation for the honors students tonight on campus.

Dr. Devon Graham is the president and scientific director of Project Amazonas. He joins Gulf Coast Live to talk about the group's humanitarian efforts and the work it's done led by students.

He is joined by Clay Motley, the director of the honors college, who will discuss FGCU's work with the group and how it will benefit the Southwest Florida community in the future.
