Florida Voters Approve Medical Marijuana In Landslide

O'Dea at WikiCommons

Medical marijuana is coming to Florida. More than 70 percent of voters approved Amendment 2.

At a watch party in downtown Orlando medical marijuana supporter Dani Hall started the evening cautiously optimistic.

She ended the night in tears of joy.
“I’m overwhelmed, I’m so excited and emotional and I’m crying", said Hall. "I’m excited for my kids.”

She has two autistic children she hopes will be able to access medical marijuana.

Her next step? Finding a doctor for her children.

Opponents of Amendment 2 argued more children would be exposed to marijuana.
