Invest 93 Becomes Better Organized; Depression Likely to Form Within 24 Hours

Satellite data overnight suggested that Invest 93 had become better organized and was very close to becoming a tropical depression. The environment ahead favors gradual development and formation of our season's next named storm, which would be Bertha, is likely within the next 24 to 48 hours. There is a general consensus of forecast model data that suggests this developing storm would be approaching or brushing by the northern part of the Leeward Islands this weekend. Any projections on it's track or strength thereafter and potential impacts to the US is still premature to credibly assess at this point.
