Libertarians Protest Outside Jax Debate Site

While the final touches were being made to WJXT’s set for last night’s statewide gubernatorial debate between Republican Governor Rick Scott and Democratic challenger Charlie Crist, Libertarian candidate Adrian Wyllie and a couple dozen supporters gathered on the street outside.

Wyllie was shut out of this and the other two official debates because his support in the polls failed to reach the required 15%.Oddly enough, he says, the lock-out has actually worked in his favor.

“Since we have been excluded from these debates, our poll numbers have almost doubled", Wyllie said. "So I think the people of Florida realize that this is absolutely ridiculous.”

The Wyllie campaign rented a conference room at the nearby Wyndham Riverfront Hotel where the candidate watched a live stream of the debate and answered each of the questions as they were asked to Scott and Crist.
