Peter Max Talks About Mercato Exhibit on Gulf Coast LIVE

Artist Peter Max comes to Naples this month for a retrospective exhibition of some of his most revered paintings spanning four decades from his iconic pop art designs to his design of the cruise ship Breakaway. Max’s work is said to have done to the visual art world what the Beatles did for music.

His work has graced thousands of magazine covers and his paintings grace the walls of hundreds of galleries throughout the globe. He’s painted for five U.S. Presidents, served as the official artist for five NFL Super Bowls, the 2006 Olympics, the World Series, the U.S. Open, the Indy 500 to name a few. The Mercato in Naples hosts the exhibition including two receptions with Max himself on Jan. 24 and Jan. 25. We’ll talk with Max about his extensive and diverse body of work, his creative process, and what’s next for America’s most popular living artist.
