Police Chief: Pulse Shooting Leaves First Responders Shaken

Orlando police say 50 are dead and 53 injured in the worst mass shooting in American history. It happened overnight at the downtown gay club Pulse.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina says first responders were shaken by the scene.

"Just to look into the eyes of our officers told the whole story."
Among the dead is the shooter, a Florida man identified as Omar Mateen. Authorities describe the attack as an act of terrorism and politically motivated.
