Shuja Nawaz, The Atlantic Council - “Pakistan: Our Greatest Challenge to Conflict Resolution”
Trying to manage relations with Pakistan is clearly a huge challenge for the United States. See-sawing between giving [or taking away] aid, ever the carrot and the stick, has been short of success. Raised and educated in Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz has written extensively on the tenuous relationship between our countries on what he refers to as “the Pakistan Dilemma”. His latest book is, ”Learning by Doing: The Pakistan Army’s Experience with Counterinsurgency”.
