We’re sitting down with Dr. David Campt in advance of his upcoming workshops on “Being a Better Ally” that seek to help white people learn empathetic listening methods to better hear and engage with racism skeptics.
Dr. Campt is a national racial equity and dialogue specialist. He conducts workshops using his White Ally Toolkit throughout the United States, teaching people strategies for changing attitudes, behavior and group culture through dialogue.
The events are hosted by the Southwest Florida Chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice. They are on August 3 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at All Faiths Unitarian Congregational Church in Fort Myers, and on August 4 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Naples.
