About a hundred years ago, the Everglades was mostly the same as it is today: hot, humid, abound with alligators. It’s also where pioneers and Native Americans were busy farming the land and trading goods. All this work came together at one important trading post. That place exists today as a museum. But now, it’s in the midst of a legal battle with a developer, and it could close.
