Tropical Mischief Headed to Florida

WUFT

The eclipse may be over, but the heart of hurricane season has only just begun. While not a significant threat, Meteorologist Jeff Huffman says some tropical mischief may be on the way later this week from the Atlantic.

"The tropical wave we were watching last week in the Atlantic is unlikely to develop into a named storm before it arrives Wednesday, but the potential does exist for it to take on tropical characteristics if it stalls over the nearby waters of the Gulf or Atlantic", said Huffman.Regardless of development, Huffman says heavy rain and choppy seas should be expected across south and central Florida starting midweek.
