Tropical Wave Hugs Florida's East Coast

It's already been a wet summer for most of Florida, and Meteorologist Jeff Huffman says more is on the way for parts of the peninsula thanks to a tropical disturbance."While development into a depression or storm is highly unlikely, this tropical wave will hug the east coast of Florida for the next couple of days, enhancing the daily afternoon thunderstorms across inland areas and likely producing morning rain near the coast", Huffman said.

Huffman is also watching another tropical wave further out in the Atlantic that the National Hurricane Center says has a "medium chance" of developing over the weekend.
