The man who discovered the Titanic almost three decades ago is shedding light on a different part of history: the biblical flood in the story of Noah’s Ark.

Naples author and medical doctor Robin Cook is out with his latest medical thriller. “Nano” is a warning about nanotechnology and what could happen as companies compete to be first with the medical discoveries coming from this science.

Live “Homegrown in Florida” is a series of essays and short stories about “coming of age” in the Sunshine State. Some are funny, some are sad, some are dark We’ll talk to the book’s editor William McKeen, who shared his story and contributor Jeff Klinkenberg who writes about Florida culture for the Tampa Bay Times

We are honored to welcome Dr. Telhami as one of the Distinguished Scholars chosen to speak on behalf of the Carnegie Corporation’s “Engage America Series” in cooperation with the World Affairs Councils of America. This project is part of the Six Top Issues for US National Security, and the Carnegie Corporation Grant is part of its broader program to offer the American Public a more factual and nuanced understanding of the history and cultures of contemporary Muslim Societies.

Dr. Telhami is the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland and is a non resident Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He has taught at Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, Swarthmore and Ohio State University, and moving west has also taught at Berkeley where he received his PhD. in Political Science.
