State health officials reported 1,823 new COVID-19 cases in Florida, Wednesday, increasing the overall total to 650,092 confirmed cases. Wednesday’s increase marks the lowest number of new cases reported in a day since June 15.The Florida Department of Health also reported 44 new coronavirus-related deaths, Sept. 8, bringing the statewide death toll to 12,067 fatalities.

Florida's positivity rate has averaged around 14.3% for the past two weeks, which is about three times what it was when the first phase of Florida's reopening plan went into effect in May.

The 2,783 cases reported June 16 bring the statewide total number of cases to 80,109.The Florida Department of Health also reported 55 new coronavirus-related deaths, Tuesday, increasing the statewide death toll to 2,993 fatalities including more than 1,500 deaths in long-term care facilities.
