Supporters gathered today at ‘The Center’ in Orlando, a GLBT support organization.
Gina Duncan, of Equality Florida, was there. She says the news came as a shock.
"You here about these things on the news but you never think it can happen in your own back yard much less this many people affected, this many people murdered, in a city that’s known to for being welcoming for all people", said Duncan. Despite the tragedy, she says the community will come together.
"This sets up back, but it will not define us, and it will not defeat us", Duncan said.
