Governor Rick Scott is sending meals to other states affected by Hurricane Matthew.
Scott directed 18-semi-trucks filled with meal kits to six cities in Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
Local food banks and non-profit organizations are expected to distribute the meals to families in need.
In a release, Scott says the meal kits the state is sending were originally for Florida’s Hurricane Matthew preparation.
But, because it did not cause as much damage as previously thought, Scott says those three states need the resources more.
