On Tuesday, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners voted 3-to-2 in favor of adopting an executive order requiring the use of face masks in the county.

The order mandates that business owners, managers, and employees wear a face covering while inside a business. All patrons must also cover their faces while inside business establishments.

Violators of the order could face up to a $500 fine.

The Collier County face mask mandate was immediately put into effect and is set to expire September 3rd, 2020 unless otherwise extended by the Board of County Commissioners.
