Representatives of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies were in Fort Myers Tuesday to announce Operation Club Blu.

State Attorney Amira Fox, said the initiative is a joint partnership involving the State Attorney's Office, the Fort Myers Police Department, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI to investigate the 2016 Club Blu shooting killed two teenagers and left at least 14 people injured.

“With the combined resources and targeted experienced resources and utilizing the multi-agency approach as a team we are able to better investigate this multi-layered case,” Fox said.

Fox said she assigned three prosecutors with backgrounds working with homicide cases and investigations as well as an “extremely experienced” homicide investigator to the Operation Club Blu unit.

July 25 will mark four years since the shooting took place at the now closed Club Blu in Fort Myers, and there have been few leads in the case. Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

“In order to make justice served and the suspects responsible are put behind bars, we need someone to come forward,” Marceno said.

Anyone with information regarding the 2016 Club Blu shooting is encouraged to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
