The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating an alleged sexual assault in a dormitory on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus late Tuesday night.
A statement from the university says a woman and the suspect met through a social media dating app. The News-Press reports the suspect's identity is being developed and he is not thought to be affiliated with the school.
The Sheriff's office is leading the investigation with assistance from the University Police Department.
