033 - Robert Macomber

Robert Macomber is an award-winning and internationally recognized Florida author, lecturer, and TV commentator, best known for his Honor Series, which are naval thrillers which start during the Civil War and run into the early 1900s. He’s also been a consultant for the U.S. Department of Defense, specializing in strategic vision and planning by using historical analogies of what works.

Macomber grew up on the waters along the coast of Southwest Florida, and was an offshore racing skipper starting when he was just 17 years old, racing the next three decades in Florida, Mexico, and the Bahamas. When not traveling the world for research, lecture tours and book signings, Robert lives on Pine Island, where he still sails, and enjoys cooking the exotic cuisines found throughout his novels.
