Grades are in for Florida's elementary and middle schools. And the grades are much lower than they were last year. More than a hundred schools received F's this year - last year it was 40.
There would have been even more F's, but a last minute change to the formula prevented schools from dropping more than one letter grade.
Florida education commissioner Tony Bennett says it's not that the schools have gotten worse, it's that the standards have gotten higher.
