Florida is on of 45 states moving to new education standards known as Common Core. The standards outline what students should know at the end of each grade.
But a growing number of people are questioning the new math and English standards. Some worry about the standards' quality. Some about the cost. Others don't like increased testing.
Lawmakers will likely have to decide whether they want to keep, alter, or ditch Common Core.
StateImpact Florida reporter John O'Connor spoke with WUSF's Craig Kopp about the legislative debate.
