Environmentalists React To South Florida Water Agency Vote

For the first time in four years, the South Florida Water Management District board voted Thursday not to cut a tax rate in its proposed budget for 2016.

The 6-2 vote opens up a little more than $20 million dollars available for Everglades restoration projects – and it’s something that environmentalists are celebrating.
