Republican vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan campaigned in Miami this weekend, and took a moment to pounce on a statement made by President Obama during his Univision TV interview in Miami last week. The President told the Spanish audience Washington cannot be changed from the inside, that change has to come from the outside.
On Saturday, at the Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana, Ryan followed that statement to a conclusion.
"We send presidents to change and fix the mess in Washington and if this president has admitted that he can't change Washington, then you know what? We need to change presidents", said Ryan.
Ryan spent a rainy Miami morning drinking Cuban coffee and bashing Castro in what has become a traditional event for traveling politicians - schmoozing Cuban Republicans at the Versailles.
