An expert on hate groups is speaking at New College of Florida on Thursday.
Heidi Beirich is the director of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project.
The project’s purpose is to track hate and anti-government groups across the country. She said every year the project is looking at as many as 2,500 groups.
She spoke with WGCU’s Topher Forhecz about the state of hate groups across the country and in Florida.
Beirich is speaking at the New College of Florida at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19.
