More than 50 Cuban Americans from our region took an 18-hour journey to Washington D.C. by bus to demand the end of a dictatorship and to demand freedom for the people of Cuba.
They were calling for the U.S. government to intervene and bring peace to the Cuban people.
Protesters from all over the country gathered in front of the White House and marched in front of the Cuban Embassy in Washington, holding flags, chanting and holding up an L-shaped gesture, which stands for liberty.
