The election remains undecided in Florida two days after Election Day. Absentee ballots are still being tallied in 9 counties including Miami Dade.
Now Miami Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez is speaking out about all of the problems surrounding the election.
He says he plans to call on Governor Scott to make changes because something has to be done about the long lines to vote.
"That's something that we have to rectify and so yes, I'll be asking for a number of things", said Gimenez. "I'll be asking the governor to A extend early-voting hours alright. B, allow us to use in early voting different sites to have those early-votes sites because right now we have to go into a library or into a city hall county hall by law."
The situation has led some to say voting in South Florida is like casting a ballot in a third-world country, but Gimenez rejects that notion.
"There's questions that we have to answer internally, but no this is not a third-world country. Your vote counts. We count it accurately", said Gimenez.
Elections workers in Broward and Palm Beach are also still counting absentee ballots.
