More than 200,000 people every year survive a stroke in Florida, but no two strokes are the same, and recovery can be a challenge. A new play opening in November at the Laboratory Theater of Florida in Fort Myers takes a unique approach to telling the story of life after stroke.

Join the conversation with the actor and director of Arthur Kopit's WINGS chose to dramatize a stroke and a survivor's struggles during recovery. We'll also feature doctors who treat stroke patients, and the medical experts who help survivors recover.

Guests:

  • Annette Trossbach, producing artistic director at the Laboratory Theater of Florida and the director of our production of WINGS
  • Cindy Chase, who portrays the lead character Emily Stilson in WINGS
  • Dr. William Carracino, neurologist with Lee Health
  • Joe Ryan, Manager of Rehabilitation Services with Lee Health
