Ray Cerbone has been dabbling in guitar since the mid 1960’s but has only been playing publicly for a couple of years. He was one of the founding members of the ACMA, the American Community Music Association in Fort Myers, which he says helped him to start writing original music. The organization promotes singer/songwriters.
Cerbone said music is probably one of the most important things in his life right now. “It makes me very happy to be involved. Listening, playing, being a part of it, the people, the players, all of it,” he said. Cerbone can be heard at open mic nights at the French Connection in Fort Myers, the Lakeview in Punta Gorda and at Fred’s in Naples.
