FEMA will remove Fort Myers Beach off probation status under the National Flood Insurance Program after the town met program requirements.
The notice, issued Monday, will be effective November 18, 2025.
A news release from the town said Fort Myers Beach had accomplished five action items set forth by FEMA, removing probation status and ending the $50 surcharge that was added to all NFIP policies within the Town limits on November 18, 2024.
