The expanse of woods surrounding News-Press story-teller Amy Bennett Williams’ home makes the perfect spot for adventuring or just a secluded walk through nature.  Unfortunately, those woods are also known as a popular spot for derelict pet owners to abandon animals, which is how many members of her family’s motley mammal menagerie came to take up residence there over the years.  This week’s essay pays homage to one of those animals; a particularly charismatic kitty who was in her family’s life all to briefly.
