Mona Awad, All's Well
The narrator of All’s Well is an actor whose career ended suddenly when she fell off the stage, leaving her in terrible physical pain and unable to practice her art.
Now she’s directing a very mediocre group of college students in the school play and contending with her physical pain and limitations. When she insists on staging a difficult production of Shakespeare’s All’s Well that Ends Well, things take a mysterious and surreal turn.
Author Mona Awad and WGCU's Cary Barbor discussed it at the Miami Book Fair in November.
