Each spring, the Lee County Library System presents the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. This is an excerpt of my live interview there with Annette Chavez Macias, author of Big Chicas Don’t Cry, and Alka Joshi, author of The Henna Artist. Both authors told wonderful stories about the various novels they have written, as well as how they got into writing fiction in the first place.
