Sheena Brook in the Gulf Coast Live studio

Southwest Florida-based singer/songwriter Sheena Brook returns to the WGCU studios to perform a live acoustic set and to explore her music, influences and how her personal experiences are expressed through her songs.

Brook first rose to national acclaim as a competitor in the 12th season of NBC’s “The Voice,” where she was handpicked by Adam Levine to be on his team.

Brook’s original music is a style all her own, encompassing elements from a broad spectrum of music genres, but her sound is rooted in a laid-back country style.  Brook performs prolifically throughout the region, particularly at venues in her hometown of Fort Myers Beach.

She’ll be performing Sept. 4 at the Myra Janco Daniels Public Media during a special screening event for Ken Burns’ new eight-part documentary series “Country Music.”
