Before heading out on their Great American Tour in July, the Sebring-based band the Swamp Rats returned to the WGCU studios to perform new selections of their eclectic blend of folk, blues, Americana and bluegrass infused with punk and metal. The band has teamed up with author and traveler April Lee Fields who recites her writing with the band playing behind it creating a kind of musical literary journey called “April Lee Fields’ Story & Song.”
The Swamp Rats also have a new album out this month. We’ll listen back to music and conversation with band members Andy Starkey (Banjo & Vocals), Scotty Crow (Guitar, Vocals & Cajon) and Elliot Twiggman (Bass & Vocals) along with April Lee Fields.
