Lawmakers Take On Gun-Friendly Legislation

Florida’s gun laws have been the subject of national scrutiny for some time now. 
 
Two controversial murder trials in Florida involving young black men shot by older white men claiming self-defense put the state’s sweeping self-defense law called Stand Your Ground in the spotlight.
 
While there are efforts to revise the state’s law, there are also bills moving through the Legislature this year that will further expand gun rights.
