Since his inauguration just two weeks ago, Governor Ron DeSantis is already making waves. Florida’s new governor has appointed three now state supreme court justices, unveiled a new environmental agenda, and suspended the Broward County Sheriff and the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. As many of these actions have been achieved through the issuance of executive orders, UCF political scientist Aubrey Jewett, Ph.D., joins the show to weigh in on the scope and limits of the governor's executive power. We'll also explore what the first weeks of the DeSantis administration may indicate about what to expect from Florida’s new governor in the coming years.
