Husband, Caregiver and Author Shares Details of New Memoir

When married couple George and Carol Shannon vacationed at Cabo San Lucas, neither one of them imagined that their trip would end the way it did. Carol suffered a debilitating stroke on the last day of the vacation, which radically changed the course of their lives. George co-wrote about the experience that made him his wife’s caregiver with his son, Chad Patrick Shannon, in the new book “The Best Seven Years of My Life: The Story of an Unlikely Caregiver.”

George joins us in the studio to discuss the topic of caregiving and the details of his new book.
