A Conversation with Cokie Roberts

Cokie Roberts at the LBJ Presidential Library in 2017

Back in 2005 we had the honor of sitting down with legendary political journalist and author Cokie Roberts, who was in town for a talk at the Naples Council on World Affairs. Her book "Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation" had just come out in paperback. This show’s founding host Ryan Warner spent the hour discussing that book and her love of history. Their conversation was also wide-ranging, getting her take on the way politics in the U.S. had changed over the decades she’d spent reporting. Cokie Roberts died last week after a long fight with breast cancer.

You can hear the full, unedited conversation here.
