J.Robert Houghtaling

Houghtaling is a fourth generation Florida farmer/fisherman inspired by everything from folk, jazz, country to rock and roll. He said, “I like to stop time. When I breathe my music my breath will not only tell the story but the music will accompany it and hopefully stop time in people’s minds so their hearts can breathe.” Hoteling creates a fusion between Florida and Caribbean music as well as Florida folk on steel pan and fiddle. He performs at the Conversancy of Southwest Florida in March.
