  • State health officials reported 2,883 new cases of COVID-19, Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 741,632 cases. The Florida Department of Health also reported 64 new coronavirus-related deaths, Oct. 14, increasing the statewide death toll to 15,788 fatalities.Of the 5,622,438 COVID-19 tests that have been reported in Florida so far, the overall positivity rate remains at 13.19% and the latest single-day positivity rate increased to 5.39%.
  • State health officials reported 9,989 new cases of COVID-19, July 8, increasing the statewide total to 223,783 cases. Wednesday marked the 15th consecutive day of single-day increases of at least 5,000 cases of the virus.The Florida Department of Health also reported another 48 coronavirus-related deaths, Wednesday, bringing the statewide death toll to 3,889 fatalities.Florida has seen more than 162,000 new cases of the virus since phase two of Governor Ron DeSantis' reopening plan went into effect June 5.

July 7 marked the 14th consecutive day of single-day increases of at least 5,000 cases.The Florida Department of Health also reported 63 new coronavirus-related deaths, Wednesday, bringing the statewide death toll to 3,841 fatalities.Since Phase Two of Florida's reopening plan went into effect June 5th, state health officials have reported a more than 70 percent increase in new cases of the virus.
  • The Florida Department of Health, Thursday, reported the largest single-day increase in cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began. State health officials reported 1,419 new confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the statewide total number of cases to 60,183.

The Florida Department of Health also reported 45 new coronavirus-related deaths, yesterday, increasing the state's death toll to 2,364 fatalities, including 1,163 deaths in long-term care facilities.Of the 953,321 tests that have been performed in Florida so far, 5.6% have been positive for the virus.
