We talk with Love Your Rebellion founder Angela Page about the nonprofit organization’s upcoming fundraiser concert “Rock for Equality,” which will benefit the McGregor Clinic’s efforts to serve those living with HIV.

After more than a year of challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Southwest Florida-based nonprofit, Love Your Rebellion, which works to empower marginalized groups through the arts, is planning to begin hosting in-person events again.Love Your Rebellion will be holding Fort Myers Zine Fest at Neenie’s House at 481 Marsh Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33905 on Friday, April 23 from 6 to 10 p.m.The mostly outdoor event will feature works available for purchase from artists, artisans, zine makers, fashion designers as well as food vendors. The event will also feature live music and a dance performance-style fashion show.

The Southwest Florida-based non-profit Love Your Rebellion continues its mission of empowering marginalized groups through the arts through a number of offerings, even amid the ongoing pandemic.We catch up with Love Your Rebellion founder and board of directors chair Angela Page for a sneak peek at the latest issue of the organization’s zine, which drops this week.We’ll also explore more new Love Your Rebellion offerings it’s through Patreon membership and we’ll get an update on the “Murals on Tour” project in collaboration with Artsemble Underground.

We highlight the fall arts offerings from the Southwest Florida-based arts non-profit Love Your Rebellion amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The organization’s mission is to empower marginalized groups through the arts, and even in the absence of live music, spoken word and other in-person performance events, Love Your Rebellion is still finding many socially-distant ways to encourage the arts community including a poetry writing workshop in collaboration with the Alliance for the Arts, the “Murals on Tour” traveling art installation project in collaboration with Artsemble Underground, and multiple ways artists can contribute to the upcoming fall issue of Love Your Rebellion’s zine titled, “Technical Difficulties.”
