The 117-year-old Tampa Tribune has been sold. Starting this week, the Tribune is being run by a new company called Tampa Media Group.
The Tampa Tribune's previous owner was a Virginia based company called Media General Inc. The Tribune, its affiliated newspapers and TBO.com are now owned by Revolution Capital Group based in California.
The price tag was $9.5 million.
Media General keeps WFLA News Channel 8 but the TV station will remain partners with the newspaper.
