Tropical Storm Boris developed in the far eastern Pacific Tuesday afternoon and will likely come ashore in central Mexico during the day Wednesday. Flash flooding and mudslides are the primary hazards with this minimal tropical storm. While it *will* weaken over land, the moisture and energy left over from Boris could eventually spawn development in the southern Gulf of Mexico. And even *if* this does happen, tropical cyclone formation would be slow to occur and would not pose a threat to the continental United States through at least early next week.
