Jamie Kuser is the editor and publisher of two magazines in Southwest Florida, the monthly arts and entertainment publication “Happenings Magazine” as well as the Lee County Family News.

Together, the two publications been keeping readers informed of arts, culture and family events in the region for close to 30 years.

Kuser joins Gulf Coast Live to talk about one of the largest obstacles he’s ever faced in putting out the magazine by deadline: Hurricane Irma. The storm flooded the magazines’ offices, destroyed an art gallery in its lobby and forced some improvisation to get the magazines out on time.
