Florida Professor Acquitted of Key Terrorism Charge

The U.S. government fails to make its case in court that a former Florida professor helped lead a Palestinian terrorist group. In one of the biggest courtroom tests yet of the Patriot Act's search and surveillance powers, the jury acquits Sami al-Arian on eight of the 17 counts against him and deadlocks on the others. WUSF's Steve Newborn provides details of the trial.

They dig to find food and also to make shallow burrows where they shelter during hot days. They are somewhat gregarious and active mostly at night. Yes, they may dig holes in your yard, but the holes tend to be shallow and a cheap price to pay for an evening of watching them greatly reduce harmful insect populations-- and then they are likely to move on.
