A tropical wave (referred to as Invest 99) about 150 miles northeast of the Turks and Caicos Islands has a "high chance" of developing into a tropical depression by Monday or Tuesday. As confidence increases in the development of Invest 99, the forecast track of this potential development has also become much clearer. The National Hurricane Center says the system is likely to turn to the north and northeast, and is likely to miss the United States. Invest 99 is no threat to the State of Florida.
