Comics fans and celebrities will come together this weekend at MegaCon Tampa Bay. Attendees will even get the chance to meet Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee.

James Armstrong, a MegaCon Event Coordinator, says the 94-year-old Lee wanted to come to Tampa because of the recent storm.

"After Hurricane Irma, he felt that he could come in and help, and provide some entertainment and raise some funds for the victims of the Hurricane," said Armstrong. "And so we're very glad to have him at MegaCon Tampa Bay."

Lee is slated to appear all three days, and will auction off a variety of items for charity, including artwork from his personal collection and a one-on-one dinner with the comic legend.

"Autograph signing, photo ops- he's basically doing everything he can to help out in the situation," Armstrong said. "And it just shows what kind of character he is and how important he is in the community."

MegaCon will take place Friday through Sunday at the Tampa Convention Center. It will feature actor William Shatner, director Kevin Smith, cast members of the Netflix series Stranger Things and more.
