New Tool Helps Prevent Multi-State Voters

Governor Ron DeSantis announced Wednesday that Florida will be joining an electronic network to help the state’s supervisors of elections make sure people aren’t registered in more than one state. Former Leon County Supervisor of Election Ion Sancho explains how the system works.

"The Electronic Registration Information Center is a clearinghouse that allows Florida’s supervisors to send information to ensure that individuals who are registered in the state of Florida are not dually registered in other jurisdictions," explains Sancho.

Florida will be the largest state to join the network, with more than 13.4 million registered voters.
